Good bye my friend

I am so sad to report that our lovely cat Oscar was put to sleep yesterday, we are totally devastated. He was a rescue cat, older than we realised, but a gentle loving creature with a very determined nature. He adored baskets and boxes of any kind, so here he is sitting pretty in my crochet basket.

Good night and god bless my sweetheart.

Thank you so much for all your kind comments, it has warmed my heart

  3. I just happened by your blog and read your sad news. Your Oscar reminded me of my Harriet who I still miss dearly; she had a particular liking for boxes too - must be a white cat thing. Remember him fondly - he'll be on the other side of the rainbow bridge waiting for you. Ally xx

  4. Aw, I'm sorry. Pets are such a precious part of our lives, I don't think we realise often how important they are. When you think about it, they are in our homes when even closest friends have gone home and they are with us in the darkest and happiest moments of our lives and pick up on our moods. You don't have to pretend or put on a brave face for a pet do you, they love us either way.

Sounds like your little cat had a happy life with you though. Not every rescued animal gets a second chance, so I imagine he felt very loved, right to the end and nobody (not even human) can ask for more than that. Sending you lots of hugs and as others have said, I hope you have lots of memories to keep. xxxxxx
